EtonHouse Sentosa is one of our International schools offering Pre-School and Primary school education for children from 18 months to 11 years of age. We have easy access to lush greenery, the beach, and the many attractions on Sentosa Island so naturally, we take full advantage of our environment. We offer a unique ‘The Island is my Garden’ programme where our educators plan or spontaneously organise learning experiences beyond the school gates.
An Outdoors Programme Like No Other
Nature offers boundless lessons for children to learn about the world around them. ‘The Island is my Garden’ is all about integrating inquiry opportunities in the natural environment. It could be a nature or literacy walk, sand sculpting at the beach, or team sports at one of the many scenic locations close to the school — students get to enjoy an enriching school life where the classroom has no boundaries. Even our youngest learners are included — we have buggies to facilitate learning outdoors.
Carefully Designed Learning Environments
Children are constantly exploring their surroundings to develop and test their ideas. This is why every component of EtonHouse Sentosa’s learning environment has been designed to spark young children’s curiosity.
For example, classrooms are spacious and flooded with natural light and views of the island to create a warm environment where children are relaxed and open to experimentation. There are specialist studios that help children express themselves in different ways such as through art and storytelling. We also have a 360-degree outdoor environment that encourages discovery. Our youngest learners are drawn to the front garden while the older children love exploring the spacious back garden that has a science and water walkway, planting zone and treetop trails.
A Warm and Supportive Community
The EtonHouse Sentosa family is tightly-knit. Our small class sizes ensure teachers are able to form deep and long-lasting bonds with their students, and the day is planned so that children from different classes can also meet, learn, and socialise. Beyond that, we maintain close relationships with our community of parents. Our passionate educators organise workshops throughout the year to help parents learn and share about anything from nutrition to interactive storytelling.
Pathway to Secondary and High School
Our Secondary and High School programmes offer the things EtonHouse are known for: an academically rigorous yet holistic education, rich learning environments and passionate educators. At EtonHouse Orchard, students are set up for success as they take on the Cambridge-approved IGCSE in their middle years and International A-levels in High School.
